In the last many years we've become the preferred bread in great cafes not just in Colombo but around the island. If that sourdough is crunchy and has tonnes of flavour that uplifts your brunch, it's probably ours. If that ciabatta is making that sandwich pop, that's Tara's handiwork. If your white toast tastes really good just with butter, It's probably our Everyday Round White loaf, the Rustic Batard.

I know it sounds silly, but we don't understand it when bakers make bread that isn't tasty. There's a lot of good bread out there. Sadly there's bread that we wouldn't eat ourselves unless it was holding up a dish's worth of toppings. I've sit in cafes often, quietly watching finished plates come back and we know when a dish uses our bread. It's almost never left uneaten.

We make great bread with zero additives or preservatives. We give it a long time to ferment. That means it's really gentle on your digestive system. That's bread that doesn't give you a bloated uncomfortable sensation. It's baked to order, always fresh. We bake it in a wood-fired oven.Our test is for any of our bread is that it has to be so delicious just with butter or olive oil that you keep reaching for that extra slice.

We've got Sourdough: Country White, Wholegrain and Ten Seed & Grain. We have Non Sourdough for the family that we haven't converted yet: White Sandwich Bread AKA Rustic Batard and Mini Ciabatta. All baked in Tara, slow gentle ferments, and made only with the ingredients on our website.

I sometimes think of us as Colombo' best kept secret. But that's not entirely true. Chances are you've been eating our bread at your favourite cafe. You might even know it's ours. Hope you try a loaf for yourself if you haven't. Whatever you are looking for, we've got a loaf we know you'll love.
